The City of Solana Beach is committed to increasing the City's urban tree canopy. The City's Climate Action Plan aims to Enhance Land Use & Natural Solutions in Pathway 3.3.4. Measure CS-1 is intended to significantly expand vegetation and the urban tree canopy within the city, while measure CS-2 encourages community members to plant drought tolerant and low-water use vegetation. Together, these goals will help Solana Beach increase our urban tree canopy and plant vegetation that is best fit for the environment.
Why is this important? Trees are not only beautiful, they also play a crucial role in the health of the environment and well-being of the community.
