Amanda Datnow works with educators and policymakers to bridge the gap between research and practice in K-12 education. She has a passion for improving schooling for all students and conducts research on pressing topics in educational policy and school reform.

On Tuesday evening, October 14th, she will address current research and trends in the field of education today. Prof. Datnow works with a variety of local, national and international organizations. She is highly respected in the field of education and is the author of eight books. Her work has been widely published in leading journals. She is Chancellor's Associates Endowed Chair in the Department of Education Studies and Associate Dean of the School of Social Sciences at UCSD.
