Solana Beach Community Connections and Senior Tech Connect will be hosting two 1-hour workshops to review smartphone basics and take a closer look at the emergency features on you phone. Dylan Willis, the San Diego Lead for Senior Tech Connect, will bridge the technological gap between generations with his tech expertise.

The first class on Tuesday, October 2 will review smartphone basics for iPhone/iPad and Android devices. The class will cover how to access quick controls, connect to Wi-Fi, and adjust key settings. The goal is to provide a general overview so that everyone is prepared with the foundational skills needed for the second session.

The second class on Tuesday, October 9 will take a closer look at the emergency features on your devices. Topics will include setting up SOS options for quickly contacting emergency services (even if you can't directly use your phone) and adding In Case of Emergency (ICE) contacts so first responders know who to reach out to.

Register soon to secure a spot, the class is limited to 15 people. Participants will need to bring their smartphone or iPad. Learn more and register at the SBCC site here
