Glencrest Sidewalks

The construction of sidewalks along both sides of Glencrest Drive from Lomas Santa Fe Drive to Dell Street (Project) is a high priority project as identified in the City’s Comprehensive Active Transportation Strategies (CATS), as well as the City’s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programs. The proposed project would construct a concrete curb/gutter and sidewalk on both sides of Glencrest Drive, from Lomas Santa Fe Drive to Dell Street. On-street parking will remain substantially the same. The project will impact a total of 20 homes along both sides of the street. Staff will design the project to allow the postal workers to drive up to the mailboxes, as they currently do. The road width at the mailboxes will be similar, allowing the mail trucks to move to the right and minimize traffic impacts. The project is estimated to cost $600,000.
