Solana Beach Civic & Historical Society 2024 Scholarship Program
The Solana Beach Civic and Historical Society is offering three scholarships of $3,000.00 to assist students in financing their college, graduate school, or technical school tuition.
The scholarships are only available to applicants who are residents with home addresses in Solana Beach, California. Applicants must have a grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4-point scale or the equivalent. Applications will be available at high school counseling offices, as well as on the website of the Civic and Historical Society and must be postmarked or received via email by April 30, 2024.
Applicants will be asked to provide personal information such as address, phone, and school location, and copies of college essays that the applicant believe best represent their personality and accomplishments. Copies of academic transcripts for the last two years will be required. Extracurricular activities or awards that demonstrate the student’s commitment to community involvement and volunteering will also be considered. A brief statement of what this scholarship will mean to the applicant in addition to a letter of recommendation from a current teacher or guidance counselor are also part of the application.
