The Theatre School @ North Coast Rep presents one of Shakespeare’s most epic plays, filled with stage combat, vocal sparring, and dramatic plotting in Henry IV as its next advanced student production. A Story of Power, Honor, and Rebellion. Worcester plots an uprising against King Henry IV as Prince Hal plays the fool. Will the short-fused Hotspur openly defy the King and join his enemies? Will Prince Hal choose a life of crime and debauchery with the disreputable Falstaff and his cronies, or will he live up to his potential and make his father proud? Experience the exciting history with dramatic wordplay and daring stage combat to see who will triumph!

Director Benjamin Cole is thrilled to share the dramatic journey of plotting rebels and the comedic revelry of the prince and his bar fly friends. “This play has everything! Riotous sword fights and jabbing wordplay fill out every corner the show.” Cole offers. “With the exciting three city tour in three different outdoor venues, we’re excited to bring North County San Diego some pretty awesome summer student Shakespeare.” he shares. The show runs a courageous 90 minutes with no intermission and aims to excite audiences throughout. Additional production staff includes Actor/Mentor, Steve Smith and Stage Manager/Mentor Benedict Heaps.
