Please Help Us Keep Solana Beach Clean During "Local" Summer

As the warm weather continues, Solana Beach is enjoying a more relaxed “locals” summer. With fewer visitors compared to peak season, residents have the unique opportunity to appreciate the coastline at a slower pace. This quieter time is also a reminder that our beaches are a shared community space, and we all play an important role in keeping them clean and safe.
The City encourages everyone to follow the "pack-in, pack-out "mentality, meaning whatever you bring to the beach should leave with you. Simple steps like picking up your belongings, properly disposing of food wrappers, and removing anything that doesn’t belong help protect both the natural environment and the safety of beachgoers.
To make it even easier for the community to help, the City has installed new litter cleanup stations at Fletcher Cove. These stations are stocked with reusable buckets and tools so visitors can quickly collect and dispose of debris they find during their time at the beach. By taking advantage of these stations, everyone can play a part in keeping Solana Beach pristine.
Small actions like double-checking your area before leaving or using the cleanup stations make a big difference. They not only preserve the natural beauty of our beaches but also protect local wildlife and ensure that the coastline remains safe and welcoming for all.
Our beaches are part of what makes Solana Beach such a special place to live. By caring for them together, we protect a community treasure that benefits us all and ensure that future generations will continue to enjoy our beautiful coastline.
