Volunteers Needed for the 2026 Point in Time Count!

On Thursday, January 29, 2026, the Regional Task Force on Homelessness (RTFH) will conduct the annual WeAllCount homeless census. This count is essential for securing federal funding and understanding the number and location of people experiencing unsheltered homelessness in our region.

For one night, we listen. We see. We connect. And the data we gather becomes the foundation for life-changing resources and services that help make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. This isn’t just an obligation – it’s hope in action.

Key Volunteer Information

RTFH is seeking at least 1,700 volunteers to participate between 4:00 - 8:00 a.m. on January 29. Volunteers can register at WeAllCount (PIT).

• For Solana Beach, select the following deployment site: North Coastal Encinitas-Community Resource Center at 650 2nd Street Encinitas, CA 92024
• Volunteer Quota: 75
• Each volunteer must register individually, even if you're part of a group.
• Count sites are listed on the volunteer portal – spots fill up fast, so register soon!
• Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your assigned site details and a link to the 2026 Volunteer Training video.
• As in 2025, volunteers will use a GIS-enabled mobile app to record survey locations, helping improve the accuracy of data and supporting ongoing outreach efforts in Solana Beach. Last year, the Count identified 9,905 people experiencing homelessness countywide.
