City Accepts Best Restored Beach Award

We are excited to announce that the City of Solana Beach was recently honored with the very prestigious “Best Restored Beach Award 2025” for the Encinitas and Solana Beach Storm Damage Reduction Project at the annual American Shore & Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) conference last week. This award was given to us for the recent beach sand renourishment project that placed 800,000 cubic yards of sand on our local beaches, providing a significantly larger recreational area for our community and protecting the adjacent bluffs. The City is honored to receive this award and looks forward to the renourishment projects that will occur over the next 50 years!
